Entries are coming in from all over for the Newbridge Art Show, which this year includes both returning and new award sections to pique the creative interest.
For artwork and photography, the open art and small works classes are joined by one with a water theme. This encompasses subjects that include water in any of its forms—ice, liquid, or steam—including, of course, the familiar weather phenomena of fog, rain, and snow.
To complement the camera-based open photography section, there is a photography media section which encourages creativity through digital manipulation.
A new category in the 2025 art show is 3D (any medium), along with a junior 3D section using new or recycled materials, grouped into three age categories.
Entries opened on August 1. To view the award categories and submit your entries, visit www.newbridgeartshow.com. The entry fee is $20 per artwork, with the fourth entry free. All junior entries are free of charge.
Works are to be delivered to the Brian Bennett Pavilion at Newbridge Showground on Sunday, 12 October. The Art Show Opening Night is Friday, 17 October, followed immediately by Gershwin & More, a special concert featuring Simon Tedeschi and George Washingmachine.
Tickets to the concert include entry to the art show and a free shuttle bus from the opening night to the concert venue. They are selling now on Eventbrite: search Spring into Art at Newbridge 2025 or visit springintoartatnewbridge2025.eventbrite.com.au.
